Getting out and about

Thanks to Miranda and Micheal for inviting us for dinner today. We really enjoyed it. We don't usually get a lot of invites. So it feels good to get out and hang out. It looked like Ethan liked his gift, and I'm so glad. I really enjoy just sitting back and watching him. You learn so much from him. He is a very fascinating child. We really care for him. He is such a joy. And how smart he is, is so amazing. But thank you guys for the invite, we really loved the soup, and spending time with you all. Now all I need in return is the recipe in detail please, Thanks.

Happy Holidays!!

The Bice Family would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We Love you all!

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement, he learns to be confidence.
If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice.
If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship,
He learns to find love in the world.

We're Moving!!

We finally got the key to the house! The house is in Lenoir City. In case you are not familiar with the area. You get on I-40w and keep going. We will be moving over Christmas break. That way when school starts back in Jan. they will already be enrolled. The house is 3 bedroom. It has 15 acres of land. It needs a lot of work, but I think we can handle it. I hope every thing works out. We will be out of here By Jan 1. We have a lot to do over the next couple of weeks. I will keep you updated.

A Night of Miracles

What if the Internal Revenue Service decided that all adults should be required to return to their hometowns to pay taxes? We would call it unreasonable, at best. In a similar vein, I'm sure Mary and Joseph grumbled as they made their way to Bethlehem. The road was difficult; they were tired; they had left behind in Nazareth all that was familiar. Their future was uncertain; they were poor and inexperienced when it came to marriage and parenting. Where would they stay in Bethlehem? How long would they have to be there? Every step toward the future brought anxiety.

But there was good news to come. God was quietly working through them for the redemption of the whole world. We know that now; they didn't know that then. They had to trust.

There is good news for us as well. For most people, whether the change is huge or small, we don't like it. But in the midst of change and chaos, God is at work for our growth and individual life- for us as individuals, as families, as a church, and as the whole human race. In this season of miracles, God asks us to do one thing: TRUST

PRAYER: God of all miracles, help us to trust you when life is uncertain. Open our eyes to see your redemption unfolding. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it. AMEN

Thought for the day: Where can I find good news that makes me grumble?

My boss Mo handed me a piece of paper today and this is what it read and I just thought I would share it with you all.

Sick Child

We woke up this morning to, Bailey complaining that his belly was hurting. I told him to go see if he needed to go to the bathroom or something. Well Daniel took Keaton on to school. And I thought I'll wait an hour or so and see how Bailey is doing then I'll take him on to school. Well little did I know it was something more than a little belly ache. He started vomiting around 9:00am and it has went on all day long. He's now asleep. Thank God he can rest for awhile. He has these little red blotches all around his mouth and on his face where he has been straining so hard. I feel so bad for him. I hate when my kids are sick. I feel like there's nothing I can do to make it go away faster. He told me this morning; Please take me to the doctor so they can give me a shot to make this go away. I told him it's not that easy. Especially when you call and tell them your child is sick and they say they are booked solid for the day. It seems to me every time that I have had to stay out of work, the doctor's office can never see you that same day. My question is why have a doctor, when you can only get an appointment if your not sick??

Thoughtful

I just wanted to say THANKS to Miranda and Michael for being so thoughtful. Michael bought Miranda a new camera for her b-day and they gave me their old one(my new one). I am very thankful to them. When Christmas comes I can finally take pictures of my boys opening their gifts. And just take pictures all the time, of every moment as they grow. Thank you guys for thinking of me and for being so thoughtful.

BIRTHDAY

Today is Rannie's birthday! Happy Birthday Rannie!! Now with you and Kevin 30, I'm glad I'm not the only one anymore. We hope you had a great b-day. I'm sure Micheal and Ethan made it very special for you. Again, Happy Birthday!!

The Nativity Pageant Of Knoxville

I saw a commercial for this. It looks interesting. I would really like to take the kids to this, to show them the story of Jesus. I really don't know how to explain a lot of things about Jesus when they ask, and maybe this Nativity Pageant can teach them the story of Jesus. If anyone would like to go with us please let me know. It says on the web site that it is FREE. You just have to arrive early to get good seats. You can check it out yourself. www.knoxville coliseum.com (2008 nativity pageant) The times are Sunday December 14th @ 3:00, Monday December 15th @ 7:30, Tuesday December 16th @ 7:30. We will probably be going to the Sunday show. It last about an hour. It has a cast of 90 people, live animals, 200 voice choir and a 20 member orchestra. I don't know a lot about Jesus and maybe this can teach my family. We would really like for some of you to come with us.

In Need Of A Change

Just to let everyone know that we went to look at a house Saturday. It has 3 bedrooms and 1 full bath 2 half bath, living room, kitchen, den with a fireplace, detached garage, and now for the good part: 15 acres of land. You should see it! It's an older house of course, but it is nice to us. You can sit on the front or back porch and see nothing but a beautiful view, of woods and mountains. We could play our stereo as loud as we wanted and no one could hear. I hope we get it. If we do, we will probably move in Jan. the 15. So all you movers out there we'll see you then!! Wish us Luck.

One Holiday to the next.

Last night after we ate again. We started cleaning out the garage, to get rid of some things. We ended up getting rid of half of the garage. Now we have so much room it's weird. We can actually walk around. Daniel took one load to the salvation army. I hate to do that. Only because they sell it. I wish I knew a place to take things, that were given away for free, to people who needed it. We had a entertainment center, a bed, clothes and much more. Then we started pulling out all of the Christmas decorations. We don't have a lot of stuff, but it's enough for us. It's exciting switching from one holiday and getting ready for the next. Now that we have the tree up, the boys are so excited for Christmas to be here. Tonight we are having turkey dumplings. I can't hardly wait. They are so good. They taste way better than chicken and dumplings. We invited Jennifer and Eugene up to eat and maybe play some cards or watch a movie.

The Reunion

Saturday went surprisingly well. I saw Jeff, Heaven, Tim, (his son,) Jayden, Boone, and Cambria. These I don't see, like I do the others. When we first arrived I was a bit nervous not knowing how things would go. I talked to everyone. And there for a minute, It seemed like we had never parted. Just like in the movie Soul Food, The dinner always brought everyone back together, just as they always were. When I stepped outside Jeff was out there and he asked for a hug. I was taken back, because this family shows no emotion, compassion, or love toward one another. I will say I hadn't realized how much I missed everyone. Sometimes I do sit back and wish everything was back to the way it used to be when we were growing up. Back then I think we were there for each other, and stood by one another. We just all fell apart. My kids would not stop talking about everyone, when we left. They said Those 2 guys are our uncle (Jeff & Tim). I said yes they are. It made me feel like crap to realize my kids do not even know their family. But what can you say or do? You can't go back in time and make things right. No one wants to call anyone to make amends or to say they are sorry. That would be too much to ask from this family. Pride is way more important to us than our family. RIGHT? So where do we go from here? Do we just sit here and wait for the next holiday, funeral, sickness, or do we do something now? I know you are reading this thinking she will not be the one to make the first move, and you're probably right. But I'm willing to if anyone else is up to it. I could go on but I'll let it lie there.

Family Gathering

Tomorrow we will be having a family gathering. I'm a little worried on how things will go. Only because some of the family I haven't saw or spoke to in 5 or 6 years. Hope everything goes well. I don't know if I feel like it will be a good thing or not. Or if some will use this time for other reasons than just spending time with each other. I hope not. I have my reasons that I haven't spoke to alot of people. But I know that I can be civil. Mom held this family together, without her, what will it take to hold this family together now? Or is there anything that could. Maybe one day we will be a family again. I could go on for days, but I won't. I've rambled long enough. Let's hope tomorrow goes well.

Another Day, Another Lost Dollar

Monday while I was at work, I received a phone call from the school nurse. She said Keaton was running a temp. So I had to leave work and go pick him up. Got him home and gave him Motrin and all seemed well. Yesterday morning woke up and he had these red blotches all over his body. I went into panic mode, Thinking it was Chicken pox or measles or something of that nature. Well anyways since I had left work around 2:00 on Monday, Daniel had to take off work Tuesday and take him to the doctor. The doc said Keaton had the worse case of strep throat, he had ever seen. So bad that it was causing the infection to come out to his skin. All over him. Matt came up last night to watch him today(wed.) but was called into work. That's O.K. Matt please do not sweat it, you tried and that's all that matters. Thank you for trying and everything that you do for us. I know if you could have watched him, You would have. Don't worry shit happens. So therefore Daniel is at work today and I'm at home. Daniel is going to ask his boss if he can only work a half day so I can go into work. So hopefully once a couple of cans of LYSOL is used everything will be fine. This is another one of those days in the Bice family household!!

Doing Nothing

This weekend has went by so fast. Friday night we went to Jennifer's to help with hanging pictures and etc. Saturday we sat at home most of the day. Matt came up Saturday afternoon and stayed the night. Saturday night Matt made a chicken soup in the crock pot and it was ready Sunday around noon. If I didn't know any better I would think that we taught that boy something. Because man that soup was good. (Miranda, I told him that he would have to come and cook it for you and Micheal.) Then tonight Daniel's sister and her husband came to visit. It went pretty good. She brought Bailey's B-Day present. A wrestling ring. It took them about 30 minutes to break it. And for the sister the baby is due around Jan 15th and she is pretty big now. Hopefully everything with her and the baby goes well. The baby's name will be Faryn (girl).

Teachers (Who are they really)??

Yesterday while Bailey was at school playing on the playground, He fell and hurt his knee. He told the teacher that was supervising the children(not his teacher) that he was injured. She told him to wait and tell his own teacher when they go in. He tells his teacher; I fell on my knee cap and I can't hardly walk cause it hurts so bad. Her response was; There's nothing that I can do for you, Now go sit down. What the hell is wrong with this picture? You send your kids to public school and think they are safe and they are well took care of. But do we really know what goes on???? No, no we don't. I am so pissed off right now that I can't even think straight. Just the thought that my child was asking for help and no one was there to help him. He said; I was shocked when my teacher wouldn't help me, she's helped me with everything else. Which I don't expect a phone call if my son picks his nose at school, but I would like to receive one if he is sick or hurt. I am at a loss for words, schools now days are not like schools when I was young. It's as if they only care about their paycheck and not the children. I'm not saying all teachers, because there are good ones, but not all. And if your child doesn't act like the other children then they're add/adhd. Your child is not aloud to be different or have his own personality. That would be considered not a normal child. What the hell is wrong with the world today. Not every kid is the same face it people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Project!

Saturday we went and picked up Bailey and Keaton's new car! I know your probably thinking, What??? Me and Daniel thought that if we bought the kids a car, They would have something of their own, that they could work on and learn about cars early in life. Well we will see how it turns out. Because there will be alot of work. Keaton is the one who doesn't like to work, but they both seem to be excited and ready to get started. Hopefully they will follow through with it. About the car; It's a 1966 Volkwagon Bug. I'm excited for them. If we can get this fixed before their driving age this will be the car they learn to drive in. It has to be totally stripped and rebuilt. We will be starting on this in the next couple of weeks. After garage is cleaned out to make room. So if anyone has info on cars, please call us, more than likely we'll need it.

We had one week to prep and build 80 lights. I think in the process I hurt my shoulder, arm, and my little ol pinky finger. Well I guess to make a dollar you have to sacrifice something. Gotta go little ol pinky starting to hurt a bit. Talk to ya soon.

Hopefully I can get it fixed tonight.

My Lil Hubby

Just wanted to say that I have a wonderful husband! He takes care of us. He's a great husband and dad. He cooks, cleans, and does what ever else that needs to be done. The world's greatest! I would have never imagined I would find a husband like him. Sometimes we're so opposite, and other's we're just alike. I think we make a perfect match. I'm so proud of him as a person. I love him and my boys more than they will ever know. Just wanted to say I Love You, Baby!!

Weekend Outing

We wanted to say a big THANKS to Rannie, Micheal, and Ethan for inviting us over this saturday. We ate Bojangles and watched the Tennesse Vols get an ass kickin'. Sorry I had to add that in. But it was nice to get out of this house for awhile and mingle. The kids had a great time! It looked like Ethan enjoyed his toys from Keaton. Thanks to Mr. Micheal, Bailey was up at 8:00 this morning playing the drums in his room. (With two pencils and his desk) I guess he was getting excited over it because he couldn't stop sniffing his fingers. (This is what he does over certain things) But anyways THANKS you guys.

Fast Food

I'm at home today! Maybe food poisoning?! I don't know for sure, but anyways a message to all trying a place for the first time can get you in a world of trouble. Those of you who have had food poisoning know what I'm talking about. This sucks. Hopefully it will be over soon.

Matt and Rannie

I heard this song today. And I thought since every couple has a song, I thought weightloss buddies needed a song! So here you go. And once again GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU!

Weight Loss

First, I want to wish Miranda and Matt lots of luck during their journey to lose weight. I hope you both succeed!! If you both set your mind to this, I know you both will do well. Because you both are strong willed, and very follow through kind of people. So, Good Luck!!! Just remember:: Do this for yourselves and for no other reason.

Good Day!!

Today the so called supervisor was fired. Hip Hip Hooray!!!!!! Just had to get that out. I am so relieved. He caused so much tension at work. He never did anything. And I had to argue with him almost everyday. I was just sick of it. Hopefully Now everything will be different. I think everything will start getting better.

Money, Money, Money

I got a Raise Today!!!!!! Yesterday was one year on the job. Hooray for me!! I was told to come to the office and I thought Oh Sh**!! Well I was told that I was doing great. There's a few things that I need to work on. My communication and my attendance. I thought communication?? Wonder where that might come from?? Maybe inherited it? But anyways, I never thought I'd have so many nice things said about me in my whole life, and I did all in thirty minutes. I guess I'm proud of myself a little. I have learned alot about things that I never thought I would. I can build a light and wire it up and make it work. Then they get shipped off to these big concerts and etc. If anyone is interested in seeing these lights, You can go to http://www.pixelrange.com/ and you can check them out. Alrighty then, I'm outta here!

Rent To Get Screwed

I Hate having to rent. It sucks!! Daniel and the kids came home today and the water was shut off once again. Because the idiots down stairs don't pay their bills. The wife almost got her ass whipped today, but she ran into her house. That's O.K. though I'll catch her out. One day we will have our own house and I can't wait. Sorry this one is so negative. I just had a moment.....

Work is Painful Sometimes

Have you ever sat back and thought: Do I have to go to work today?? Well I'm sure everyone has at sometime or another. So basically, I'm the tech (repair) person at my work, and an assembler, and a stock person, and a trainer to the others. And all this time the so called (supervisor) sits on his ass all day and does absolutely NOTHING!!!!! And to know he gets paid more than me pisses me off so bad it makes me have bad thoughts. He is a compulsive liar, lazy, no good for nothing, pile of crap!!!!! For one week straight he sat in his chair and read a book. And you ask yourself why isn't he fired? I guess no one gives a damn but me. To know that I work for my family some health insurance and my gas bill (almost 70 miles a day) and that is it. It just sucks to think people in life get shit handed and others work their self to death to have nothing. Anyways, just had to get that out. Until next time america!

Caylee

I've just got done reading up on this poor little girl. Now the police say they found traces of Chloroform in the mother's trunk. This is used to: pour on a rag and cover someone's face until they pass out and become unconscious. And the police also say they have proof the mother stole gas cans from her parent's house. They predict the mother of this child more than likely used the chloroform on this child and set her body on fire somewhere. Oh God, Please do not let this be true! To know that this child or any other child could have went through something this HORRIFIC is a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Family

I guess getting the letter from sister Deb yesterday sparked something. If this family would stop all the gossip, lies, back stabbing, and hurting one another. This would be a great family! We are getting older now and need to realize that we need to stop all the bullshit and just love one another. With that being said, everyone would have to be willing to say they're wrong when they're wrong. We need to be able to talk to each other up front and honest. I'm just sick of all the high school games that we play with each other. We should be able to tell our sibling if they pissed us off and deal with it at that moment, and it be over with. Instead of not saying anything to them and then not speak for years. This is crazy. And another thing is that:: The siblings wife or husband needs to not make trouble in the family. Example:::: As far as my husband goes, he can have his own opinion of my family, but he better never say (aloud) anything bad about MY FAMILY, because they're mine. I think that should apply to all in-laws. But anyway I know I have rambled on and on, I just think everyone needs to try hard to get along, not just a few. I haven't spoke to some of my siblings in over 5 years. At this rate we'll only see one another at each other's funeral. I'm at fault of all these things too. But there's a time in your life when you realize it's not worth it. Sorry this sounds so crazy, my mind and mouth go faster than my fingers.

Sisterly Love

Just wanted to let you all know something. Me and my sister Debbie haven't spoke in a few years. The reason being is because she's a compulsive LIAR. Not being mean or anything but the TRUTH is the TRUTH. Well that being said, I received a letter in the mail today from my sweet sister. It says: Vanessa, Will you please forgive me and I forgive you. I love you your my sister. (Debbie)
Also, there was a card inside that reads: Let us love one another, because love is from God; Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The deal is as follows::: She made me mad by lying to me. So there for what reason would she have to forgive me???????????

Niece/cousin Rannie

When I heard this song, for some reason I thought of you. I know you have been stressed. And you have a lot on you right now. But just remember everything will be alright. Every now and again you have to sit back and take a deep breathe. Everything will work itself out in the long run. I think you're doing one hell of a job at everything.

This Weekend

So far we have done absolutely nothing! I got Keaton to go to some yard sales with me on Sat. This is the one thing that he hates to do, besides eating spaghetti or sloppyjoes. We found him some toys and Bailey 2 necklaces but nothing else good. Then came home and ate breakfast and afterwards had to take a 3 hour nap. I was talking to someone (anonymous) on the phone sat. and I was told that I acted like an old person who had to nap. But I'm sure that person didn't wake up at six a.m. on a sat. morning like I did. I guess it is a little sad that I am 30 years young and have to or like to nap.

Our Angels

Here's our sweet and beautiful boys Bailey and Keaton Bice

Joining The Real World

We are back online, how wonderful! Just wanted to say hey to everyone out there. Thanks to good old Matt for this setup. Hopefully we can figure out how to use it.
